The terms "On The Road Books Ltd" or “Brit Stops” or "Irish Stops" or “us” or “we” refers to the owner of the website. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of our website.
Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, we take no responsibility for and will not be liable for the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
Consumer Contracts Regulations
You have the right to cancel your order from the moment of placing it up to 14 days from the day you receive it. You have a further 14 days in which to return the goods.
We will refund your payment in full within 14 days of either receiving the returned book and windscreen sticker, or receiving proof that the goods have been returned (for instance proof of postage from the Post Office). If your book has not yet been sent when you cancel your order, we will return your payment in full within 14 days of your cancelling the order. Return postage costs are not refunded.

If you do not receive your book
Our books are always sent by first class post, and by far the great majority arrive within one or two working days. However we do hear of a very small minority that do not reach their destination (less than 0.1%). Some of these do turn up at their destination eventually, and others are returned to us by Royal Mail.
If you have not received your book after:
14 working days (UK addresses)
21 working days (European addresses)
30 working days (addresses in the rest of the world)
then please email us at and we will investigate. Depending on the outcome, we may resend your book (subject to availability) or issue a refund. If the address supplied was incorrect, or the address supplied was not that linked to your PayPal or credit/debit card, please see below. All claims must be made within 80 days of the date the order was placed. In all cases where the book is posted to the correct address but not received, we pursue a claim with Royal Mail, and you may be contacted by them. If at a later date your book does turn up it must be returned to us at Brit Stops, High House, 3 Cross Keys Court, Cottenham, Cambs CB24 8UW.
If the delivery address is not your credit/debit card or home address
We are happy to send your goods to any address you provide, but if you choose a delivery address other than your registered PayPal/card address and the goods are not received, we will not issue a refund or provide any compensation. Nor will we resend the book without further payment. This includes any books that go missing that were sent to PO Box addresses or using Royal Mail redirection services. If Royal Mail returns goods to us that have not been received, we will issue a refund to the value of the returned goods but we will not refund the postage and packing costs incurred by us. Postage and packing costs are marked on your order.
If an incorrect delivery address is provided
If you provide a delivery address with incorrect details, we will not issue a refund or provide any compensation. Nor will we resend the book without further payment. If Royal Mail returns undelivered books to us due to an incorrect address, we will refund the value of the order but we will not refund the postage and packing costs incurred by us. Postage and packing costs are marked on your order.
