THIS IS NOT A FREE SITE. £30 per night Newbridge Country Park is a family and dog-friendly, open all year, 15 large hardstanding pitches campsite located near Dumfries, Scotland. It is a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Galloway Forest Park, the beaches, many local attractions, historic castles of the south west of Scotland, and other areas of Scotland. The park has a variety of amenities, including free unlimited showers, a laundry room, washing up facilities, an elsan point, grey water disposal points - one being a drive over for motorhomes a free games room, free Wi-Fi, 16amp EHU, parking on your pitch and no charge for awnings. There is a large off-lead enclosed dog walking area with a mowed pathway around a large field, with some of the walk alongside a beautiful river. The town of Dumfries is a 10-minute drive from the park, and there are major supermarkets and retail parks just 5 minutes drive away. There is also a petrol station with a small shop & a petshop with a cafe, within walking distance of the park and a bus stop just outside the park. A hotel is 10 minutes walk from the park with a restaurant and bar. There is a local pub 20 minutes walk away with pool table, dart, jukebox etc. If you are looking for a family-friendly countryside setting with beautiful views, Newbridge Country Park is a great option. Nearby Attractions Dalscone farm fun, is home to the world famous, loneliest sheep Fiona. With an indoor soft play area and fun-filled farm park, they are Dumfries` top destination for families! Dumfries was the birthplace of Robbie Burns in 1759; see displays on the life of Scotlands favourite poet, as well as portraits and period rooms, at the Robert Burns House. Drumlanrig Castle and Gardens (20 minutes) makes a great day out for all the family, with it`s art collection, woodland walks and adventure playground. For more Scottish heritage, stop by the moated remains of medieval Caerlaverock Castle (25 minutes away). For those who like malt whisky, then you must to take a tour at the Annandale distillery in Annan, and sample their delicious food in their cafe. 30 minutes away is the world famous Gretna Green Chapel with photo opportunities and shops selling an abundance of Scottish produce and gifts. Then 5 minutes away from Gretna Green Chapel, is the Gretna Green shopping outlet village with over 50 outlets including designer shops, plus cafes, for those that love shopping and a bargain.
