A friendly museum and heritage centre in a beautiful, peaceful setting above the river Brora with views across the Moray Firth and the Cairngorms beyond. Situated right on the NC500, making it the perfect spot for exploring Scotland! The Brora Heritage Centre showcases the unique and fascinating history and industrial Brora, with coal from 1529 up to 1974, numerous industries were 'fueled' from the mining over the centuries. We have several exhibition rooms, you can explore the 'coal mine' with exhibits and models that explain the mining over the centuries.
