Am Fuaran is a cosy, traditional coastal bar overlooking the Summer Isles from the Coigach Peninsula. We’re open for food and drink all year round! The name ‘Am Fuaran’ means ‘the well’ in Scottish Gaelic. This pays homage to a well at the bottom of the driveway which initially served as a watering hole for passing travellers. Today, rather than drinking from a hole in the ground, find comfort and refreshment at the Am Fuaran Bar. The Am Fuaran menu features fresh local ingredients, many of which have been caught in the local lochs or grown on-site. Please be aware that during the winter months the bar generally opens at 4pm rather that 12:30pm. Feel free to give us a call to check. Please also note the only day we are closed is New Years Day. While dogs are very welcome on the campsite and outside we ask they are not brought inside the bar. We also offer an "upgrade" to staying in our wonderful campsite next door, we charge £35 for 2 adults in a Campervan (including electric hook up). We offer a shower block and a small shop stocked up with a selection of groceries and camping equipment. The grounds upon which the campsite sits were formerly the owners’ family croft, passed down through generations for the cultivation of livestock and vegetables.
