We are a beautiful and easy-going stop where you can enjoy a bottle of something local, take in the views, and support a family-run vineyard doing things properly. We welcome you to come and sample exceptional sparkling wines from our family farm! Grown on the chalk slopes of the South Downs in Hampshire. Here the chalk substratum is shared with that of the best vineyards in Champagne. The chalk lends a particular minerality that helps to achieve a delicate balance of ripeness, acidity and berry aroma. RAIMES English Sparkling is blended from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Our grapes are handpicked selecting the ripest and best quality. They are then taken to the winery and pressed within a few hours very gently. Wines are made in the traditional method using only grapes grown by the Raimes family. At the heart of our vineyard experience is our tasting barn, where visitors can sample their sparkling wines in a relaxed and welcoming setting while taking in views across the vines. There are grazing options to accompany the wine such as cheese and charcuterie boards featuring local cheeses and charcuterie. Wine Tasting Notes & Menu. There’s no need to book although we are happy to take bookings for indoor tables. You can also book in a tour and tasting, which run from May to September each year, group sizes are kept small and personal.
