A timeless, authentic country pub — family-run alongside our working farm and aiming to be one of the best country pubs in Essex.
We are set among the Crouch Valley vineyards in Stow Maries, near Maldon and Chelmsford, we champion true farm-to-fork dining with our own grass-fed beef and lamb, local English wines, and traditional ales. There are great walks in every direction with footpaths leaving from the pub.
Try our famous Sunday Roasts. For people stopping with campervans we have loos open 24/7. We have the option of our gravel carpark or our grass field.
We have the option of a stay in our carpark or a stay in our field. There are footpaths from the pub field.
