Horncastle Farm is a family-run 200 acre farm based in Havercroft on the Pontefract and Wakefield border in West Yorkshire. The Stevens are the 5th generation of the family to farm the land, and we could not be happier to continue the legacy, developing, diversifying and enjoying our time here. Throughout the year, we offer a range of hands-on, seasonal experiences that give visitors of all ages the chance to connect with nature, animals, and the land. Whether you’re bottle-feeding lambs in spring or enjoying a tractor ride through our fields, every visit offers something special. On site, alongside our shop - which sells high quality, fresh produce - we also have our restaurant: The Tatie Shed. Nestled inside our lovingly restored potato‑packing barn, The Tatie Shed invites you into our story. Lucy’s grandfather grew and packed potatoes here, and today that same soil still feeds our kitchen. We follow a from‑farm‑to‑fork philosophy because freshness isn’t negotiable. Every meal is a tribute to the family farm and the local growers and butchers who supply us, and everything we serve is grown with love. Please note: All experiences are seasonal, and the farm is not open every day. Pre-booking is essential and spaces often sell out quickly.
