Situated alongside the river soar in barrow, The Moorings is a picturesque restaurant and bar just outside of the university town Loughborough Steeped in history since 1794, The Moorings began life as a coal wharf on the canal before becoming a boat hire centre in the late 1800s. By the 1980s, it had transformed into a pub – first The Boathouse Café, then The Riverside, later The Boathouse – and today proudly stands as The Moorings. We’ve built a reputation for our hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas, crafted with fresh ingredients and packed with flavour. Alongside our pizzas, our new menu features seasonal dishes, pub classics and global inspiration – something for everyone to enjoy.
