About
One of the oldest pubs in the UK, Tavistock Inn has been serving travellers since 1413. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle even stayed here whilst he wrote Hound of the Baskervilles - and the devil is reputed to have visited in 1638!
Emma and Michelle took over the pub in August 2026 and are excited to be keeping this traditional and renowned pub going for more visitors and the local community.
We offer a warm welcome with great draught ales, lagers and ciders. Delicious home cooked meals will be served from September when our kitchen refit is complete.

Please note that the surrounding area features narrow roads and bridges. Please check on maps for width restrictions. There are also livestock free roaming on roads and moorland.
